Muscle man is dear to my heart because this project launched my hobby into a woodworking art and design company. This project was strategically crafted for Dr. David Rudnick, a talented sports medicine Chiropractor, and can be seen in his front office.
Muscle Man went through a rigorous process of trial and error to achieve an anatomically accurate back by only using wood, string, and 2,000 nails.
Muscle Man is 4 ft x 4 ft on a 4 ft x 8 ft background. The interesting string technique was a perfect method to simulate the muscle and tendon fibers.

For extra dimension, Muscle Man was elevated 1-3/8” from its base where I nested RGB LED lights. I also incorporated a fun color changing effect when walking around the art sculpture, by using 15 different string colors of blue.
Muscle Man signifies my affinity for dimensional and optical illusionary visuals and I am so content with the outcome.
